“Woe to the
world because of things that cause sin! Such
things must come, but woe to the one through
whom they come” Mathew 18:7
Dear parishioners of St. Peter Diocese,
As a result of our human weakness, we tend
to fall into rash judgments.
After eight months of being with you, I
would like to speak to you once again as a
brother, a father, and a friend to live at a
brotherly love that take us towards unity
and brings us Christ’s peace. This is what
we need in order to help each other to live
in God’s grace.
I would like to thank you, from the
bottom of my heart, for your love for God,
your neighbor, and for me. I ask God to
bless you and keep you from all evil and
unite you to do His Will, so you won’t be a
stumbling block to anyone.
Since I came to the Cathedral last year,
I have felt there are a lot of inflated
rumors going around against the Church and
its clergy, and against me personally.
There is a small group of people who are
spreading rumors with the intent to hurt
others unlawfully. This is against the
Christian faith and it demolishes social
So I sincerely ask all of you, if you feel
that I say something that I do not do,
please bring it to my attention. Some people
are fabricating facts to plant discord among
the faithful and that bothers me and affects
the Church negatively. Please come to me and
ask me if you have heard any of these
rumors. I will let you know the facts as
they are! In this way, we will cultivate
unity instead of division and love instead
of hatred. Anyone who will do otherwise,
will be judged by the Lord because Woe to
the one who cause sin and to the one through
whom they come.
Therefore, my advice is:
1. The sower of hatred and division to
repent and do well, and for the hearers, to
look for the truth before believing it.
2. Please come to me if you have any
questions or concerns to know the truth.
3. I am willing to meet with all of you
to bring together your views and if I have
mistreated anyone, I will apologize to that
person. “If your brother* sins [against
you], go and tell him his fault between you
and him alone. If he listens to you, you
have won over your brother” Matthew 18:15
May the Lord God bless you and keep you
from all harm and to help you grow in virtue
and stand firm in the faith. May Mother Mary
protect you and keep you under her mantel.
