Sunday Notes

  1. This Sunday after the 11:30 Mass, the Apostolic Administrator, Mar Shlemon Warduni will celebrate the ordination of Lectors and Subdeacons in St. Peter’s Hall. There will be sweets and drinks available.

  2. There are people who are trying to spread teachings that do not conform to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Therefore, we want you to be aware of everything that is said in the houses, gatherings or on the Internet. As St. Paul says in Galatians chapter 1 verse 8: “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you, let him be accursed.”

  3. The Apostolic Administrator, Mar Shlemon Warduni, will meet with the Chaldean Associations Monday, April 3rd, at the Cathedral’s Hall. All are invited.

  4. We had announced last week the Cathedral's trip to Holy Places. We would like to add that, anyone wishing to participate in this trip will have to submit the registration forms and pay the deposit on or before April 10th due to the heavy reservations for the 100th anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Fatima. For more information, please contact the Cathedral's Media Center at 619-590-9028.

  5. Next Thursday the Sacred Heart Sodality will have their Holy Hour prayers at 2:30 pm followed by Ramsha and daily Mass at 4:30 pm. After Mass, the Bible Study Sodality will have a retreat and meditate on the Passion of Christ (confessions will be available) until 6:00 pm. After that, will show video about passion of Christ at the Educational Center.

  6. Next Friday is Lazarus Friday and it is the First Friday of the Month. The Sacred Heart Sodality will start their prayers at 2:30 pm.
