St. John's Chaldean Church
Notes for Third Sunday of the Resurrection

 

Let us pray and plead to God the Lord for all the children of the church especially the displaced and oppressed and especially the Christians of Nineveh, the Sick and the Neediest. For Peace throughout the world, the Perpetual Intentions of our beloved deceased and the intentions of this Sunday:

  • Helen Chappaya Issik - Died in San Diego
     
  • Lame’a Samona Halak- Died in Michigan
     
  • Masood Barbat- Died in Michigan
     
  • Yousif Marogy Ibrahim- Died in Michigan
     
  • Nicola Shamoon- Died in Australia

This week’s funerals

  • Wilson Bibo Bahro died in San Diego. His wife is accepting condolences this Saturday at Golden Palace Hall from 3:00- 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at St. Peter Cathedral at 10:00am. After burial, his family will accept condolences at St. Peter’s Hall till 6:00pm.
     
  • Alees Maneek Eskander died in San Diego. Funeral Mass will be held this Monday at St. Michael’s Church at 9:00am. After burial, his family will accept condolences at Crystal Ball Hall till 6:00pm.
     
  • Thair Isho Al-Sinaty died in Baghdad. His aunt Siham is accepting condolences this Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00pm at the address:
    250 E. Lexington Ave., El Cajon.

Sunday Notes

  1. We will add Arabic Mass on Sundays beginning May 6th, the first Sunday of May. So Mass schedule starting that Sunday will be:
    - 9:00am in Chaldean
    - 11:00am in Arabic
    - 7:00pm in English
     
  2. Knights of Columbus will have their 7th Chaldean Food Festival on Friday May 25th, 2018 from 5:00- 9:00pm at the cathedral’s Hall. All profits will go to St. John the new Church in El Cajon. Tickets are available for sale outside the cathedral. Please help and support this important project.
     
  3. This Monday is the Memorial of Rabban Hormized.
     
  4. There are yellow envelopes available for anyone interested in giving donations to St. John. Please write your name, address, and phone numbers to provide you with a detailed receipts. Drop the envelopes in the Donation Box in the back of the church.
     
  5. St. John Church is in need of the Baptismal Font and Candle Stand offering. Please talk to Tom if you are interested in buying any of these two items and your name and family name will be engraved on it.
